Alien Transistor was founded in 2003 by Markus and Micha Acher from The Notwist.The labels concept is to produce music that has a musical or personal relation to the Notwist- microcosm: From electronic soundscapes through abstract hip-hop to laptop-treated contemporary, from processed oriental music to Nick Drake-inspired-songwriting: Alien Transistor doesn't respect any musical boundaries.

die soundschnipsel am schluss erinnern mich an meine scratch experimente, die ich in den frühen 80ern gemacht habe - damals wusste ich tatsächlich nichts vom scratchen in den u.s.a. - ich bekam die inspiration von einem freund, der auf lsd mit seinem plattenspieler rum mantschte, während er sich totlachte... :-) sehr schöne musik, gefällt mir außerordentlich gut! gruß aus dem norden

Love it. The whole experience of this piece - at least for me - is waiting for that sweet, SWEET moment of relief at 10:31, and it's totally worth it everytime. That's not to say that I don't enjoy the journey. But it wouldn't be the same without that high point. Just like sex.
